Hello! We are Mitch and Anne, the founders of TravelXtra. We are both Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) in Singapore and Japan. For many years, we have been visiting Asian countries and our love for these places flourished and bloomed. In our traveling experience, we learned that we can choose to maximize our stay in a country by following a well-crafted itinerary, never missing out the must-visits, experiencing all these in a low budget while still traveling in comfort.
We started our journey as start-up business owners in 2016 online. Although we saw the need for an office, because we are both away from our home country, we were able to maximize the potential of online business and the number of clients we had was beyond our expectations.
We started offering local tours in Cebu, Palawan and Boracay Philippines including private services in Japan, Singapore and South Korea until 2020. However, the pandemic happened and brought unexpected challenges, causing us to lose the business itself.
In the last quarter of 2022, some countries started accepting tourists with special visas and we were surprised as to how our previous clients were still able to contact us. They started booking our services mostly in Japan, Singapore and Thailand. Out of that unexpected trial brought by the pandemic emerged a new chapter – TravelXtra.
